The kids in the class would prefer that I have good quality batteries because they have toys that they wouldn’t be able to play with if I didn’t have rechargeable batteries that lasted a long time. This was a very interesting article thank you for posting.

Christopher, it might be beneficial to a lot of people if you could share with us the information that you find out from your friends. I am looking into photography courses right now and any information I can take into it with me the better off I will be. And Larry, I wish we had everlasting life in batteries to but then the battery companies wouldn’t be very happy.

I never knew that there was a difference in the quality of a rechargeable battery. I figured they all had to be made the same way or they wouldn’t be rechargeable right? I guess that was wrong on many counts.

I want the best quality I can get because I don’t want to have to replace the rechargeable batteries before their time because they were cheap, that defeats the purpose. I need to have dependable batteries around at all times because so much in my house runs on batteries. This was a good article, thanks.

I wish there existed the kind of technology that enables batteries of all shapes and sizes to have unlimited life spans – you know, like how the nuclear submarines now patrol the depths of the ocean for the Navy of the United States and other first world countries. Maybe one day, that sort of nuclear technology will b available to the general public. Until then, I guess we will just have to follow the advice on this site.

This is some very helpful information. I would love to replace all the batteries in my house with rechargables but I also understand that it wouldn’t be worth it to do that on things like toothbrushes that only require two batteries but what about those radios that require like 8 “C cell batteries? Do they even make rechargables that are that big?

I do freelance photography and I intend to adhere to tip number one by asking some of my colleagues what type of batteries they have been using. This is good advice and when you think about it, that is the natural way of learning in any field. Whatever the industry you work in, this is exactly why networking with your contemporaries is very beneficial, whether you are in college acquiring your training or already in the field.
