"High capacity" chargers refers to the number of cells you need to charge at one time. It has nothing to do with the charge current of the charger. A good portable charger would be the Zerowatt 4 charger that will charge 4 AA or 4 AAA's

Thank you for posting this information I was very curious about these batteries because I have purchased some before and they didn't last very long when they had to be recharged. So I just figured that I had the wrong kind of battery for the use I was using it for. You have confirmed that what I was thinking was right and I did have the wrong ones.

I have watched your video and you are right you really should watch the first one before you watch this one, but either way it is still a very educational blog post and I am glad that I watched it. I did learn quite a bit from this article and I now know what batteries I should buy for what to get the best optimization.

After watching this video, I think it would be best for me to follow the advice of the narrator on the video who mentioned the small portable charger. I know I want a high capacity charger and a low capacity that doesn't heat up the batteries, but what I need to know is whether these portable chargers are sold as both high and slow capacity. I only need to charge AA and AAA batteries with trickle charge.

You have done a great job on both part one and two of your blog. Will there be a part three in this series? Who would have thought that rechargeable batteries were something that could be discussed in such detail? Thank you for all of this information and again great job.

This article was just as interesting as part one was. I had no idea about nimh and lithium batteries until I read this blog. It isn't very common for battery companies to discuss the batteries in the depth because most people don't know what lithium or nimh really is. Thank you for this information it will be very helpful when I am trying to pick the batteries out that I want.

If you use the flashlight everyday, use the high capacity batteries for the longest runtime.
Ansmann provides the highest capacity and more importantly - the most recycles

That was a great video I missed part one of this but I wish now that I had seen it as well. This was very informative and I appreciate the fact that you pointed out the good and bad of each, not just the good in hopes of getting more sales on the batteries you are selling. Thank you for your honesty here, will there be a part three?
